Family Assistance
This is not a drop-off program. Every participant must have a supervising adult present throughout the sessions.
Our club thrives on the efforts of family volunteers during field activities. We recognise that many helpers are new to the sport, but we provide guidance on the job. Tasks are effortless, like logging results, using a tape, or retrieving equipment. If you are watching, you are able to help. Since families often have multiple kids, we suggest staying with the youngest or the athlete who requires the most direct supervision.

Volunteer roles on meet nights
Weekly events are powered by parents working alongside our leaders. Here are the specific duties that ensure our competition schedule stays right on track.
Field Support
Checking marks for jumps or throws and announcing official measurements
Smoothing sand in the pits for long and triple jump athletes
Entering marks onto the official tallies
Managing athlete behavior at stations to ensure safety and fair turn-taking
Collecting discarded shots, discs, or javelins and bringing them back to the start line
Note: Adult helpers oversee athlete conduct, allowing group leaders to focus on managing the competition. Success depends on everyone sharing the load effectively.

The BBQ Team
We host a BBQ most weeks to provide snacks for our hardworking athletes once their events conclude. This offers a convenient dinner option for families. We rely on you to help with cooking and serving. Please volunteer for a shift whenever possible; our entire community truly values and enjoys.
Gear Setup and Removal
We value any help provided for setting up stations before starts or clearing the field at the end. The weekly guide highlights which age groups are tasked with stowing gear after their final event. Please pitch in when your group is listed. Having many hands involved makes these transitions quick and easy for all our club members.
Group Leaders
For those seeking a bigger impact, consider becoming a team leader. You will guide your specific age group through the rotation, ensuring athletes stay together and reach their scheduled events in a timely fashion.
Prior knowledge is not required. All you need is a positive attitude and a desire to be active. It is a fantastic way to support your child's athletic development.
Committee Member
To make a lasting impact, join our club's management committee. We seek dedicated parents for roles in admin, finance, equipment, or event planning. We also welcome anyone with specific coaching expertise to share their skills.

Zooper Dooper Contributions
We provide a cool Zooper Dooper to every participant after the meet ends. This traditional reward is something the children look forward to every single week.
We request that each family supplies one or two packs of frozen treats per year to maintain our inventory. You can deliver these to the office at the start of term or bring them to any session on Friday night.
Every icy pole donated helps us keep this fun tradition alive for all our young athletes this season.
