Centre Rules

To maintain a secure and uplifting environment for every young athlete, our club operates under specific regulations designed for great experiences.

Guardian Attendance

We are not a drop-off service; Little Athletics thrives on family engagement. Running our weekly meets relies heavily on the support of our incredible parent volunteers. Your kids thrive when you are involved, so please stay and help out. If you have questions about volunteering, reach out to highfieldsanddistrictlittleathletics@hotmail.com

Misconduct

Damage to school, council, or club properties is forbidden. Those responsible will face immediate removal without reimbursement of any registration.

Safety
  • Cross tracks only after confirming they are clear. Use the outer perimeter when not competing. Always pass behind throwing zones; field implements are high-risk. The javelin sector is restricted to active throwers and staff only. Pets are strictly prohibited. Mobile devices are barred from the field during meets. Non-compliance with safety protocols may lead to removal from the field. For safety concerns, contact highfieldsanddistrictlittleathletics@hotmail.com
Inventory

All gear belongs to our club and must be used with leader oversight. Please return every item after training or meets. Report any equipment failures or breakages to the Equipment Officer or Manager immediately so we can keep the kids safe and the gear updated.

Conducting

Fun is our priority for every child. Any youngster acting in a way that risks injury to others will be flagged. Bullying or discrimination results in an immediate report to the Centre Manager. The committee holds final authority on disciplinary steps. Foul language or aggressive behavior is not welcome at our club. Email highfieldsanddistrictlittleathletics@hotmail.com regarding issues.

Sun Defence

As a SunSafe organization, we require hats and sunscreen for all participants. Slip, Slop, and Slap applies to parents too. Protection is provided at all evening meets. We mandate that athletes wear a compliant bucket hat whenever they aren't actively running, jumping, or throwing.

Smokefree Zone

Following LAQ guidelines, smoking is forbidden in all competition and viewing zones. We maintain a clean air environment for our healthy and active youth athletes.

Visitor Terms and Fee Adjustments

We aim for total inclusivity in sports. Recognizing that unique financial or personal situations arise, we offer a flexible framework regarding guest spots and payment structures. Details can be requested via highfieldsanddistrictlittleathletics@hotmail.com to discuss options.

Club Trophies

We celebrate progress by awarding trophies annually based on a comprehensive performance point metric. This structure motivates athletes to attend regularly, beat their personal records, and represent the Hornets at regional meets. Every point earned brings them closer to seasonal recognition for their hard work and discipline throughout the athletics year.
